Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has hit the headlines having emerged as Jurgen Klopp’s hero on Sunday.

The Reds were drawing 1-1 at West Bromwich Albion in injury time, knowing that they needed a win to push for the top four.

Alisson came up for a last-gasp corner, and fired a superb header into the corner of the net from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s delivery, sending Liverpool fans, players and staff wild.

The win means Liverpool could now sneak into the Champions League places, with Alisson emerging as an unlikely goalscoring hero.

Whenever a goalkeeper scores or grabs an assist, there are always hilarious stats that emerge – and this is no different.

Alisson’s goal means he has scored more in the Premier League than some attacking players this season, many of them at Tottenham – Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Steven Bergwijn.

Bergwijn made an instant impact at Spurs last year, but in 1074 minutes of Premier League action this term, he’s yet to pick up a single goal.

The Dutch wide man isn’t playing much, but having scored 14 goals for PSV Eindhoven in the 2018-19 season, being outscored by a keeper won’t feel great.

Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to joke about the situation, admitting that they’re crying at Bergwijn being outscored by Alisson.

Others suggest Spurs just can’t win this season, having a laugh at what is a rather disappointing situation.
