Tottenham Hotspur fans have been urging striker Vincent Janssen to stay via Twitter amid surprise transfer links to West Bromwich Albion.

The Sun report West Brom are eyeing a £30 million double swoop on Spurs for Janssen and defender Kevin Wimmer.

Vincent Janssen of Tottenham Hotspur goes down injured during the Premier League match between Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur at Turf Moor on April 1, 2017 in Burnley, England.

Janssen scored only two goals for Spurs last season and has been used sparingly by head coach Mauricio Pochettino early on this campaign.

The striker sent a message out on Twitter yesterday, a fairly routine message showing himself training for the club, and was inundated with responses urging him to stay put and resist the urge to sign for the Baggies.

Here is a look at some of the responses to Janssen’s message…

It’s clear to see many Tottenham fans still have high hopes for the striker, who finished top scorer in Holland’s Eredivisie in 2015/16 for AZ Alkmaar.

The question is whether Mauricio Pochettino still retains the same faith, or if he has given up on him.

Janssen isn’t going to displace Harry Kane, but if given the opportunity he could become an impact player off the bench, if given substantial playing time, rather than just coming on for the final five minutes of fixtures.

The forward may decide that he could have better luck if he moves on, although if he does, he is giving little away.
