Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign former Spurs right-back Kieran Trippier.

What’s the story?

The Sun have reported that Arsenal are interested in bringing former Tottenham right-back Trippier to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners want to secure the services of the 30-year-old England international as a replacement for Hector Bellerin.

The North London club have already made contact with the La Liga champions over Trippier.

Atletico want £34 million for the former Manchester City prospect.

Manchester United want to sign Trippier as well, but the Red Devils are willing to pay £20 million.

What are Tottenham Hotspur fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, Tottenham fans do not think that Trippier will join their bitter North London rivals Arsenal.

Well, some of them anyway.

Some Spurs fans are also calling for the club to re-sign Trippier.

Tottenham sold the right-back to Atletico in the summer of 2019.

The 30-year-old won the La Liga title with Atletico last season.

It is hard to see Trippier move to Arsenal knowing that it will damage the relationship he has with Tottenham fans.

It is also interesting that the Gunners want to sign a player who will be 31 in September.
