Tottenham Hotspur have a selection dilemma this weekend.

Serge Aurier’s return to the Tottenham Hotspur team could be short lived.

He was nowhere in the first month of the season, before being recalled, and then sent off against Southampton.

Aurier was terrible against Bayern Munich in the 7-2 loss and now Tottenham fans are not upset at all that he is suspended to face Brighton this weekend.

Some have expressed their sentiments that this is a positive for Spurs.

It certainly takes the decision out of Mauricio Pochettino’s hands…

So how do Tottenham replace him? Well they are not short on options.

Moussa Sissoko filled in at right-back against Southampton after Aurier was dismissed, but they would then lose him in midfield.

Kyle Walker-Peters was very unluckily dropped from the side for Aurier earlier in the season.

Juan Foyth played at the position in pre-season and is now fit again.

Davinson Sanchez has made two starts at right-back this season, while Eric Dier began his career at Spurs there.

Aurier will return to Spurs after the international break, refreshed and keen to atone for his errors.

But if his Tottenham replacement against Brighton, whoever it is, seizes their chance then Aurier may be waiting a while.
