Tottenham Hotspur have finally appointed their new manager, with Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed on Wednesday night.
Jose Mourinho was let go more than two months ago, and Tottenham have been through many failed managerial pursuits in that time.
Nuno is finally in, penning a two-year deal with Tottenham having left Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of last season.
Nuno’s proposed tactics at Tottenham
Football.London reported on Wednesday that Daniel Levy had been unsure about Nuno due to his fairly conservative style at Wolves last season.
There was a fear that Nuno would be similar in style to Jose Mourinho; Nuno even played under Mourinho at Porto.
In the end though, Fabio Paratici showed Levy footage of Nuno’s more expansive Valencia side, and Levy was left more convinced that Nuno could do the job required.

Tottenham fans have their say
Tottenham supporters have seen these reports, and seem a little concerned that Levy is being duped once again.
Fans drew comparisons to rumours about Mourinho’s alleged new attacking style when he took the Tottenham job, only for the actual product to be very different.
Some feel they’ve heard it all before with Mourinho, and fear Levy has been ‘bamboozled’ once again even if they’re willing to give Nuno a chance.
