Will it be Thierry Henry? Or will Tottenham Hotspur fans surprise you?
Whether you love them or loathe them, TV football pundits are popping up more and more these days, collecting numbers of ex-pros, managers and referees to give views and opinions on anything they can. And now, with Tottenham Hotspur battling towards the top of the table for both the Champions League and even the title, many a pundit have cast their eye over Mauricio Pochettino’s team of late.
So which pundits have Tottenham Hotspur fans putting fingers in their ears? With the amount of ex-Arsenal players involved in football punditry, there’s certainly plenty to chose from, but who really rubs Spurs fans up the wrong way? HITC Sport asked Tottenham fans just that…

When asked which TV pundits make them want to throw their TV remotes at the screen, one Tottenham fan suggested “Tony Cottee, he’d be top by an absolute mile, he’s biased and he doesn’t even try to hide it. Charlie Nicholas is abhorrent as well.” It seems that a lot of the ex-Arsenal pundits really get under Spurs fans’ skin.
Jeff Stelling was a surprise name to pop up, as was one Spurs fan suggested he liked Alan Smith, an ex-Arsenal stirker. “I don’t like Jason Cundy. He hates Spurs, even though he played for us!” suggested another Spurs fan, referring to the former Chelsea player and Chelsea fan through and through. One other Spurs fan also mentioned Paul Merson, another ex-gooner.
A surprising amount of Tottenham fans had nice things to say about Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry. The former Premier League striker often gives an interesting insight when featured on the BBC or Sky Sports, which obviously isn’t lost on Spurs fans, who can put their rivalry to one side.
