Tottenham Hotspur are close to adding a new right-hand man for Fabio Paratici after the departure of Brian Carey this week.
It’s claimed that Paratici is processing a ‘thorough revamp’ of Tottenham’s recruitment department as he looks to change the club’s structure.
Paratici himself only arrived at Tottenham last year and there has been a mixed view on his business so far.
Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski has been great. Emerson Royal, Bryan Gil and Pierluigi Gollini… less so.
Paratici needs a strong transfer window as Tottenham seek to back boss Antonio Conte.
The London Evening Standard now claim that the Italian is very close to appointing a new member to his recruitment team ahead of the summer transfer window.
The identity of that person is unclear, but Tottenham are seemingly on the verge of a new addition with the changes continuing.
Tottenham revamp after Hitchen and Carey exits
This news comes shortly after the exit of Brian Carey from the Tottenham recruitment staff.
Carey, 53, had a lengthy spell with Wrexham as a player, turning out almost 300 times in league action for the Welsh side.

After spells in coaching alongside Dean Saunders at Doncaster Rovers, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chesterfield, Carey turned to scouting.
Carey was Tottenham’s head of recruitment until the club confirmed his resignation on Wednesday afternoon.
It’s unclear what the future holds for Carey, but that Standard report claimed that his role wasn’t quite as big as it seemed.
This is the latest change to Tottenham’s recruitment department.
Earlier this year, Steve Hitchen decided to resign from his post as technical performance director at Tottenham.
With Paratici now set to bring in his own man, it looks like this is a complete new start for Tottenham’s recruitment setup.
