According to Il Messaggero, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella, described as “a really good player” who “has all the things that you want from a midfield player” by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on the club’s official YouTube channel in February 2022.
Tottenham Hotspur want Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella
The report in the Italian publication has reported that Tottenham are looking at signing two players from Spurs head coach Antonio Conte’s former club Inter.
One is defender Milan Skriniar, and the other is 25-year-old Italy international midfielder Barella.
Liverpool have also been linked with the Inter star, with CMW claiming in June that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners could offer Naby Keita in a player-plus-cash deal for Barella.

Could a transfer to Spurs happen?
In our opinion, a potential transfer of Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window may not happen.
Yes, money talks, but would Tottenham be willing to spend close to £80 million on a midfielder – even one as good as Barella who is “aggressive”, “technical” and “can run for ages”, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp – this summer when they do not need to?
Oliver Skipp, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur are the main midfield options for Conte
There is also youngster Pape Matar Sarr at Spurs at the moment.
