Where did the Conte claims emerge?
Conte arrived as Tottenham boss in November after the abrupt sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Italian is known for winning league titles, so drilling his Tottenham side quickly was the immediate focus.
Conte is more of a hard taskmaster than Nuno, and one rumour emerged about ketchup being banned.
The Times reported last month that Conte had banned pizza, fizzy drinks, ketchup and brown sauce in the Tottenham canteen.
Conte spoke of how Tottenham players had to take care of their bodies and pay attention to nutritional information to get to the top of their game.
It seemed that Conte had confirmed the ketchup ban, but that may not actually be the case…
Dier comments on Tottenham ketchup rules under Conte
Speaking ahead of today’s game against Norwich, Dier has played down the ketchup ban rumours.
Dier told the Daily Mail that he has heard about the ketchup ban but doesn’t actually think it’s true.
Dier claims he doesn’t have ketchup anyway so he isn’t all that bothered.

The Tottenham defender added that plenty of things have changed under Conte, but it’s not quite as drastic as being portrayed.
“Everyone wants to talk about Conte’s training!” said Dier. “Ketchup? Yeah! I heard about it. I don’t even know if ketchup’s banned. I don’t think it is. I don’t have ketchup. There is nothing I would have ketchup with!”
“All sorts of things have changed but I don’t think it’s as drastic as people are making out,” he added.
Conte maybe isn’t being quite as hard on his Tottenham players as claimed, though who knows what will happen if consistent results don’t arrive.
