Emerson Royal has an uncertain future at Tottenham Hotspur and his former club Real Betis are now keen to lure him back to Spain.
That’s according to claims from Rudy Galetti, with the SportItalia reporter claiming that Emerson is the player most likely to leave Tottenham.
It’s stated that a number of clubs around Europe have looked into Emerson’s situation and his potential availability.
One of them is Betis, who want to re-sign Emerson after he spent two-and-a-half years in Andalusia.
The problem for Betis is that they need to offload somebody before they can make a firm move to bring the Brazilian back to the club.
Loren Moron or Martin Montoya allegedly need to leave before Betis can go ahead and and strike a loan deal for Emerson.

Betis return may appeal to Emerson after mixed Tottenham spell
You could hardly blame Emerson if he was tempted to head back to Betis.
Tottenham paid £26million to sign Emerson from Barcelona in 2021, viewing him as a good fit for Nuno Espirito Santo’s back four.
Nuno didn’t last very long though and was replaced by Antonio Conte, who always wants to play with wing backs.
Emerson just isn’t suited to playing as a wing back and has looked unconvincing throughout his time at Tottenham.
The Brazilian’s decision making and quality on the ball in the final third just isn’t good enough and that’s ultimately why Spurs want another right wing back.
The best spell of Emerson’s career so far came with Betis.
Betis signed Emerson from Atletico Mineiro in January 2019 having struck something of a joint operation with Barcelona.
Emerson played 79 times for Betis to tempt Barcelona into activating a clause to sign him – only to then sell him to Tottenham.
Emerson just isn’t going to have a key role at Tottenham and Betis may well be able to offer him a bigger role moving forward.
It’s a move that should appeal to Emerson, even if it’s only a loan move until the summer to get him back playing regularly again.
