Tottenham trio Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Érik Lamela have paid tribute to Diego Maradona after the football legend passed away at the age of 60.
The former Argentina hero – who also managed his country – suffered a heart attack at home in Buenos Aires.
Maradona had only recently undergone successful surgery on a brain blood clot at the beginning of November, and was also set to be treated for his dependency on alcohol as the BBC report.
Taking to Instagram to pay tribute to his fellow Argentine, Lamela posted the following photo of himself, Maradona and Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero.
The caption reads: For me you are eternal … D1EG0 dear !! ⚽️⚽️ Q.E.P.D ❤️❤️
The former Roma attacker’s Spurs teammate, Kane, also took to Instagram to pay his respects to the World Cup winner, posting a photo of Maradona when he came to visit Tottenham at Wembley a few seasons ago.

Maradona scored 34 goals in 91 appearances for Argentina, and represented his country at four World Cup tournaments.

He is arguably most famous in England for his World Cup brace against England, in which he performed the world-renowned ‘Hand of God’ which beat Peter Shilton.
He will always be remembered for what he brought to the footballing world, especially during his talismanic stint at Napoli where he became somewhat of a God in Naples.
