Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have to pay €40 million (£33.26 million) as transfer fee for Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Tottenham are offering to take Kulusevski on loan from Juventus in the January transfer window.

Tottenham are willing to make the deal permanent at the end of the season, but under certain conditions.

According to Romano, Juventus want a mandatory clause in any deal with Arsenal over Kulusevski.

What should Tottenham do about Dejan Kulusevski?

In our view, Tottenham to have think very carefully about signing Kulusevski under the conditions laid down by Juventus.

Tottenham managing director of football Fabio Paratici will know all about the Sweden international winger from his time at Juventus.

So, we can presume that it is the Italian tactician who is driving Tottenham’s interest in the former Atalanta player, who is rated very highly by former Juventus star and current Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

The winger earns £2.5 million per year (£48,076 per week) at Juventus (Sky Sports), so it is certainly within Tottenham’s means.

However, Spurs need to think carefully whether Kulusevski is a player who can be an asset for the club for the long term, and not just until the end of the season.
