Bayern Munich are showing a keen interest in Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries – but Tottenham Hotspur appear to be leading the race.
Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport, as noted by Io Tifo Inter, Inter may be willing to sell Dumfries this summer.
It’s suggested that Inter are eyeing around €40million (£34million) for Dumfries this summer.
That would be a very quick profit on Dumfries having signed him from PSV Eindhoven just last summer.
The report claims that Tottenham are ‘above all’ in the race to sign Dumfries this summer
Bayern Munich are understood to be keen on Dumfries but he appears to only be a backup option as things stand.
Bayern are focusing their attention on Ajax ace Noussair Mazraoui, who is available for nothing this summer.
If Mazraoui doesn’t join Bayern then Julian Nagelsmann may turn his attention to signing Dumfries instead.
That would be a blow for Tottenham, who appear to have picked out Dumfries as one of their top wing back targets.
This would involve Antonio Conte raiding his former club, but Dumfries actually joined Inter after Conte had already left the club.
Dumfries was signed as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi having turned in an impressive campaign at Euro 2020 with the Netherlands.
Dumfries impressed so much there that Ally McCoist called him ‘amazing. to watch’.

The 26-year-old has racked up five goals and seven assists in all competitions for Inter this season.
That’s the kind of attacking output Conte is seeking from his right wing back and Emerson Royal just doesn’t provide that.
Tottenham may now be ready to make their move for Dumfries this summer but they would surely need to offload a right wing back too.
Conte can’t really afford to have Dumfries, Emerson and Matt Doherty all competing for one position next season.
Doherty enjoyed something of a renaissance under Conte before a season-ending injury, so we would assume that it’s Emerson most at risk fo being axed.
Inter would need a replacement for Dumfries, so it may not be the worst idea to try and tempt them into taking Emerson as part of any deal.
