Dejan Kulusevski has suffered a hamstring injury and could now miss Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to face rivals Arsenal this weekend.

The international break is finally coming to an end and Premier League action will return this weekend.

There are two huge derbies in the coming days as Manchester City take on Manchester United, but only after Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur.

Both sides have enjoyed strong starts to the season but will have injury concerns coming out of the international break.

Dejan Kulusevski has suffered a hamstring injury

Arsenal are checking on Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko as they face issues at left back, whilst Tottenham are facing a new problem.

The Athletic report that Tottenham winger Dejan Kulusevski has returned from international duty with a hamstring problem.

Kulusevski played for Sweden twice over the international period, racking up 176 minutes of action across games against Serbia and Slovenia.

It now seems that the winger picked up a problem whilst playing for his country and he is now a serious doubt for the North London derby.

Kulusevski, 22, has been in a real battle for playing time of late due to Richarlison’s increasing impact.

The Swede impressed against Leicester City before the international break though and his absence on Saturday would be a big blow for Antonio Conte.

Arsenal will be pretty delighted with the news though, without wishing injury on a player.

The Gunners rate Kulusevski very highly; so much so that his destination in January of this year could have been Tottenham rather than Arsenal.

The Athletic reported this summer that Kulusevski’s agents thought that a deal with Arsenal would be done before Tottenham swooped in.

Kulusevski has yet to play at the Emirates Stadium since joining Tottenham; he wasn’t a Spurs player when the two teams met there last season and it now looks like he will miss this game too.

That’s a blow for Tottenham but with Arsenal facing issues at left back, hearing Tottenham’s right winger could be missing will be a relief.
