The 20-year-old joined Tottenham from Estudiantes in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £8 million, but he failed to establish himself in north London, failing to make a single Premier League appearance.
If he is to develop into the great defender that he no doubt can become, he will need regular first-team action – something that is far from guaranteed under Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs.
A move to Tyneside would provide him with that opportunity, and his undoubted quality would surely prove to be a huge asset to Newcastle.
Standing at 6ft 3in tall, Foyth is incredibly strong in the air, and possesses a wonderful positional sense.
He also plays with a certain kind of maturity that defies his tender years, and the Magpies should not hesitate to bring him to St James’ Park on loan this summer.
