Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Cameron Carter-Vickers is still expected to miss the rest of the season with injury.
The USA youth international is part of the first team squad and has made four starts this season, in cup competitions.
Carter-Vickers, 19, is highly rated, and picked up an injury in mid-April. The club re-iterated on Thursday that he is not expected to play again this campaign.
It may have been a stretch to expect Carter-Vickers to start in the Premier League given that he has not done so already, but he remains a vital back-up option.

With Spurs playing three central defenders, having reinforcements is crucial, and Carter-Vickers’ absence denies them one of their options.
Carter-Vickers has looked solid when called upon in cup competition, and it is disappointing that he has not yet been given more opportunities to prove himself.
Former club captain Ledley King recently told Bleacher Report that he believes Carter-Vickers is a better defender than he was, giving the young American a high bar to try and live up to. It appears he will have to do so next season.
