Tottenham Hotspur announced plans this week to play a money spinning friendly in Hong Kong, publishing details on their official website.
The match will take place on May 26, days after the Premier League season concludes.
The game should be an opportunity for youngsters in the squad to get some first team action, but with the timing clashing with the under-20 World Cup, three players have now been ruled out.
Kyle Walker-Peters and Joshua Onomah have been called up for England’s squad for the tournament in Japan, and now Cameron Carter-Vickers has been named in the USA’s selection, US Soccer confirmed.

Carter-Vickers has been sidelined with injury over the past month, depriving him of a spot on Tottenham’s bench, and his fitness for the tournament in Japan is not yet certain, even if his country are optimistic.

The three young players could really have benefited from playing in the friendly game for Spurs, even if the under-20 World Cup could be even more important in their development.
If senior players start dropping out too, which Spurs will be keen to avoid, their squad could be stretched.
Fans will hope for a glimpse of talented 18-year-old Marcus Edwards, who impressed in pre-season last summer.
