Tottenham Hotspur face an incredibly important week with games against Monaco and Chelsea.

Speaking to reporters, and quoted by Reuters, Spurs left-back Danny Rose has labeled himself as stupid for picking up a needless booking against West Ham United on Saturday – his fifth of the season, which subsequently led to him being ruled out for this weekend’s game at Chelsea through suspension.
The 26-year-old England international has been an integral member of Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI this season, with his lung-bursting runs up and down the left hand side providing Tottenham with a fantastic attacking threat from out wide.
At the same time, he always performs his defensive duties with the utmost discipline, and has evolved into the quintessential modern-day full-back.
Rose was speaking to reporters ahead of his side’s Champions League game against Monaco tonight, and shared his frustration regarding his suspension on Saturday, as quoted by Reuters:
“I’m kicking myself because it was so unnecessary and yeah that the Chelsea game was the first fixture I looked out for in the summer and I am gutted that I am going to miss it. I was aware that I was on four bookings… It was just a stupid foul.”

The problem for Spurs is that Rose’s left-back deputy Ben Davies has also been ruled out if the game through injury, and with Toby Alderweireld also likely to be missing, Pochettino faces somewhat of a selection dilemma ahead of what is one of his side’s biggest games of the season.
The Argentine has always prided himself on working with whoever he has available though, and a return of six points from the games against Monaco and Chelsea really would enhance his reputation as a manager even further.
