Newcastle should give Georges-Kevin N’Koudou a lifeline.

Moussa Sissoko wasn’t the only player to disappoint last season at Tottenham Hotspur.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou also clinched his transfer to the club on deadline day, after a saga which dragged on for several weeks.

N’Koudou’s season was only notable for the fact he made fewer appearances than Sissoko.

He did not make a single start for Spurs in the Premier League and his eight substitute appearances tallied a total of 49 minutes.

A fresh start may be needed for the flying winger, and he is a player Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle should be looking to target.

Among their many needs, Newcastle are looking to add a wide player, seeking out a loan for Liverpool prospect Sheyi Ojo, according to The Mirror, a move the Reds have rejected.

N’Koudou is an even more accomplished player than Ojo, he just wasn’t given the opportunity to show it by Spurs last season.

The pacy winger scored nine goals and provided five assists for Marseille before his move to Spurs, and at 22 is a player with a lot of potential, who Rafa Benitez could help develop.

Whether it be a loan or permanent move, N’Koudou could be an asset to Newcastle and Tottenham would not be able to demand any more than the £11 million they paid for him last summer.
