Son Heung-min has attracted interest – but nobody has dared attempt to convince Daniel Levy to sell the Tottenham star.

Son went into the final day of the season just one goal behind Mohamed Salah in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

The South Korean star was given an immediate boost as Mohamed Salah was left on the bench for Liverpool’s game against Wolves.

Son scored twice as Tottenham hammered Norwich City 5-0 but saw Salah come off the bench to score for Liverpool.

That meant both players finished the season with 23 goals, sharing the Golden Boot award in name but receiving a trophy each.

This was an incredible achievement for Son, who – unlike Salah – didn’t score any penalties all season.

To hit 23 goals without penalties is hugely impressive and just underlined Son’s immense quality yet again.

Son Heung-min has attracted interest

Some have wondered just why there hasn’t been a major transfer battle for Son in recent times.

We’ve all seen the Harry Kane drama from last summer but there has never really been anything remotely similar with Son.

Son has now scored at least 18 goals in all competitions in six straight seasons now.

The 29-year-old has been simply phenomenal in a Tottenham shirt and yet we haven’t seen many clubs push to sign him.

The Daily Mail now claim that Tottenham genuinely feared losing Son to Manchester City in 2017 and 2018 because Pep Guardiola rates him so highly.

It’s added that there has been real interest in Son over the years but nobody dared have a real push at signing him because of Levy.

Levy has seemingly been adamant that Son isn’t going anywhere and the winger hasn’t pushed for a move in recent years.

That’s been perfect Tottenham, who have enjoyed the benefits of having a world-class player without having to constantly worry about him leaving.

Son will turn 30 this summer and the chance for a huge move may be passing now, but you can expect him to keep banging in the goals for Tottenham.
