Tottenham could reignite their interest in Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson, with Newcastle United and Ajax also keen on the England international.

According to the Mirror, Spurs are keeping tabs on the shot-stopper ahead of the summer transfer window, with Henderson expected to leave Manchester at the end of the season after spending most of the campaign on the bench behind David De Gea.

Indeed, Henderson’s future looks certain to be away from United, and both Tottenham and Newcastle will likely go head-to-head this summer to sign the talented Englishman, with the two Premier League sides keen to improve on their options between the sticks.

What is more, both clubs each have strong cases for why Henderson should join them, yet for Tottenham, the north London side could have the edge over Newcastle given their current situation with Hugo Lloris and their potential European adventure next season.

Henderson could quickly become the no. 1 keeper at either Tottenham or Newcastle, but with the 25-year-old earning a reported £100,000-a-week, Spurs are better positioned to better these wages and sell the shot-stopper an exciting project over Eddie Howe’s side.

After all, Antonio Conte has the potential to transform Tottenham’s fortunes next season, and with Henderson between the sticks as a long-term successor to Lloris, the England international could be an exciting addition for the north London side.
