Tottenham Hotspur could sell midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in January.
That is according to one report from the Evening Standard.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could leave Tottenham in the new year
The Evening Standard recently claimed that Tottenham are likely to make Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg available again in January after failing to sell him in the summer transfer window.
As per the Daily Mail, the 28-year-old turned down the chance to join Fulham on deadline day, leaving him at the north London club.
He has played in three out of Tottenham’s four Premier League games this season but is yet to start a match in the top flight under Ange Postecoglou.
The Spurs boss’ preferred midfield pairing right now is Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr, resulting in Hojbjerg having to settle for a place on the bench.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg should consider leaving Tottenham in January
Hojbjerg’s contract expires in 2025, so it makes sense for Tottenham to sell him in January if they do not plan to hand him a new one.

From the Denmark international’s perspective, it is also logical for him to move on if Postecoglou continues to overlook him.
It is clear, though, that Hojbjerg thinks he can do a bit better than Fulham, which is understandable. After all, the £100,000-a-week (Salary Sport) midfielder is currently at one of the top clubs in England and was only playing in the Champions League a season ago.
All in all, Hojbjerg’s future is still up in the air and a move away from Tottenham could still be an option for him when the transfer market reopens in January.
