Bayern Munich are being strongly linked with a move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane and the London club might have just handed Bayern a boost in pursuit of the England skipper – by showing interest in Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Kane, 29, is out of contract at Spurs in 2024. A decision will need to be made regarding Kane’s future, ahead of the summer of 2023. If he chooses not to sign a new deal, then Daniel Levy will have to cash in on the striker.

That is, to bring in as much cash as possible and allow Spurs to replace him. Bayern are the club showing the most interest. It is yet to be known if Kane is open to a move to Bayern. He is on course to break the Premier League record.

He will have Alan Shearer’s record in his sights, and the dream of winning a Premier League title – or any trophy for that matter – will mean a whole lot more with Spurs, than at Bayern. But Spurs could have just handed Bayern a boost.

Tottenham might have just handed Bayern a boost in Kane pursuit

90Min claim that among Tottenham’s January options, include Bayern’s in-form veteran striker Choupo-Moting. The 68-time Cameroon international is out of contract at the end of the season – but is finally starting games for Bayern.

Under Julian Nagelsmann, he has scored 10 goals in 15 games this season. Five in his last five games in the League, and three goals in his four Champions League appearances this term. Spurs are keen to sign him as cover for Kane.

But with Bayern looking to sign Kane, Tottenham’s interest in Choupo-Moting might be considered a boost for the German side. It could be that Bayern try to tempt Spurs into selling Kane by including Choupo-Moting in a deal.
