Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno wants to sign Conor Coady from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, according to 90min.
What’s the story?
90min are reporting that Tottenham head coach Nuno has asked his new club to get him Coady from Wolves.
The Portuguese worked with the England international central defender during his time at the Wanderers.
Spurs want to sign at least one new centre-back this summer.
Although Coady is happy at the Molineux Stadium, a move to Spurs could be tough for him to turn down.
Conor Coady is a quality defender
Coady has done well for Wolves over the years and is now part of the England squad at the European Championship.
The 28-year-old is at the top of his game at the moment, and the centre-back would be able to make an immediate impact at Spurs.
The Englishman is so good and has been so impressive in recent seasons that Jamie Carragher tried to convince him to move back to Liverpool.

The former Premier League champions released him back in 2011.
The Reds were looking for a new centre-back in the January transfer window following the long-term injury to Virgil van Dijk in October.
As you can see from the clip below, former Liverpool defender Carragher joked in October 2020 that the Merseyside club’s manager Jurgen Klopp wanted to sign Coady.

If Carragher thinks that the England international is good enough to replace Van Dijk, then he is certainly good enough for Spurs.
