The Spurs ace has been linked with a move from the Premier League to the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has issued a stern response when asked about his future at the Premier League club, commenting on the English top flight’s approach towards long-term contracts before seemingly hitting out at the media.
The Denmark international is contracted to Spurs until the summer of 2020, which means that this summer is the last in which Spurs could potentially command a fee for the player, as next winter he would be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club.
Overseas is in fact where most of the alleged interest for Eriksen seems to be coming from, with reigning European champions Real Madrid, as well as Italian champions Juventus, having been linked with the player in recent months, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.
In an interview with Danish outlet BT, the 27-year-old – who is currently on international duty – said: “The Premier League clubs are starting very early to get players to sign new contracts. Therefore, my situation is unnatural. Two years is still a long time when you think of a football career, but in England it is normal to write a five-six-year agreement. That’s why my situation is different.

“The speculation about my future does not affect me. I don’t care about that completely. It’s newspaper news. It has been running ever since I was 14 years old and was in trial at Chelsea. There are newspapers that write it.”
This season, Eriksen has made 38 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering 12 assists, while his overall time at Spurs has yielded 264 appearances, 63 goals and 81 assists since his switch from Ajax in the summer of 2013.
