Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 3-2 by Southampton on Wednesday night – and striker Armando Broja seemed to absolutely love it.
Spurs took the lead through a Jan Bednarek own goal but found themselves overwhelmed by Southampton’s outstanding pressing game.
It was no great surprise when Broja popped up with the leveller, firing home from inside the box after a slip from Ben Davies.
Broja gave the celebration everything, getting right up to the Tottenham fans behind the goal to passionately celebrate.
On the face of things, Broja may have just been delighted with his goal – but it seemingly runs a little deeper than that.
Firstly, Broja is currently on loan at Southampton from Chelsea, who of course have a bitter rivalry with Tottenham.
Broja’s love for Chelsea may have been a huge reason for his desire to celebrate and goad the Tottenham fans on Wednesday night.
It may even go further though, because Broja’s first major club as actually Tottenham.
After playing for Burnham Juniors as a kid, Broja was snapped up by Tottenham – but he chose to leave for Chelsea at Under-9 level.

That’s a long, long time ago but maybe Broja remembers those days at Tottenham and loved showing Spurs what they’re missing.
That goal takes Broja onto eight goals in 23 games this season, continuing to shine on loan at St Mary’s Stadium.
Son Heung-min put Tottenham back in front but Broja ended up on the winning side with Mohamed Elyounoussi and Che Adams turning the game on its head.
Southampton’s fightback was superb, giving them ad deserved win in North London – and it seems that Broja loved the night a little more than most in yellow and blue.
