Tottenham’s move for Moussa Sissoko was slated by fans, rivals, and pundits.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has built a reputation in the game as one of the toughest negotiators in football.
So it was totally out of character when he spent £30 million on Moussa Sissoko on deadline day in 2016.
How could a normally prudent figure make such an over-payment on a player who struggled for a side which got relegated leading into the transfer window?
Sissoko struggled in his first two seasons and whenever Levy was mentioned as a top negotiator, his detractors could always point to his signing of the Frenchman to a moment where he gets it wrong.
Perhaps now, history needs to be re-written.
Sissoko’s form this season has been excellent, and he is finally becoming a regular starter for Tottenham.

He changed the game at home to Inter Milan with his driving run, and against Barcelona he created more chances than any Tottenham player.
Sissoko looks close to being a £30 million player right now, and Daniel Levy does not look so foolish
The Sissoko deal was ripped apart from all sides, but right now it looks like the Tottenham chairman might have known what he was doing all along.
