As reported by the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has given a pretty emphatic response to those fearing manager Mauricio Pochettino could be on the move any time soon.

The Argentine has guided Spurs through another impressive campaign, becoming Chelsea’s closest title challengers and finishing second with some blistering attacking football, and the job now is to build on that and secure silverware in 2018.

“Mauricio is sitting right in front of us here,” Levy told London Evening Standard reporters during the club’s trip to Hong Kong.

“I’m sure he’s not going anywhere. He loves us.”

There is no doubt Pochettino has worked wonders since he arrived at Tottenham, building a young, talented side capable of competing both doemstically and in Europe for years to come.

There is still work to be done, with key areas needing additional strengthening and the upcoming transfer window likely to be vital, but Levy will know he has a manager the envy of many chairmen across the globe.

Tottenham take on Kitchee SC in a specially arranged friendly match on Friday, before their players get a well deserved rest ahead of what is likely to be another hugely exciting season for the North London club and their fans.

From there the focus will be on recruitment, with Tottenham supporters hoping their club does not leave it so late to secure their targets this time round.
