Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic are fighting Chelsea for the signature of Nice winger Deji Sotona as he prepares for a move back to the UK.

The Telegraph report that Sotona is set to return to the UK having left Manchester United in 2020.

Sotona swapped United for a move to Nice last year but is already getting ready to come back to Britain.

Chelsea tried to sign Sotona over the summer but couldn’t get the deal done; unsurprisingly, the Blues remain interested.

Chelsea now face competition though as Tottenham also want to sign Sotona.

Celtic are right in the race too, with Sotona a wanted man ahead of the January transfer window,

Who is Tottenham and Celtic target Deji Sotona?

Sotona, 19, hails from Waterford in Ireland and actually showed real potential at Manchester United.

Sotona recorded four goals and two assists in 16 Under-18 Premier League games for United before choosing to leave.

The wide man made headlines in 2019 having been recorded as the fastest player at United – even quicker than Marcus Rashford.

That makes Sotona very appealing, with Tottenham and Celtic now desperate to add his blistering pace.
