Tottenham Hotspur have desperately missed star striker Harry Kane throughout his absence.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino had his say on Harry Kane’s omission from the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Kane has been sidelined for the past six weeks, after suffering an injury during Tottenham’s win over Sunderland in September, but his goal record over the past 10 months is matched by few.

During his last 24 Premier League games or Spurs, since January 1st of this year, the 23-year-old has scored 14 goals, and has proven to be vitally important to the way in which Tottenham go about their business – something that has been highlighted further still during his absence.
Pochettino spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s game against Leicester City tomorrow, and explained how Kane’s omission from the shortlist highlights the current level of quality present in world football, as quoted by tottenhamhotspur.com:

“It’s always tough to be on that list. Hugo Lloris is on the list and I’m very happy for him. Harry is still very young and be sure in the future he will have a chance to be on that list.”
After last season’s decisive home loss to the Foxes, Tottenham will surely be even more determined to reverse that result, and with a victory, could theoretically reach the Premier League summit.
