There is much fascination surrounding the England national team following the shock departure of Sam Allardyce, with Gareth Southgate looking to steer the ship in the right direction. Everyone is curious as to who he will continue to play, how they will perform and whether or not he can guide the nation to success.
As reported by the Mirror, one keen observer was Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino who went to watch them train ahead of their game against Slovenia.

Southgate and company trained at Spurs’ facilities, and with so many Tottenham players in the squad the Argentine was bound to be curious as to how they were getting on. Just a few days ago Alli joked about how Pochettino would react following his performance against Malta, but he may not have been expecting an actual appearance from his club boss.
Alli joined the likes of Tottenham teammates Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose in training with their manager casting a watchful eye over proceedings. He will be hoping that everyone remains fit and able to play in Spurs’ next game which will be a trip to the Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion.
