Tottenham Hotspur and Hull City clash later this week.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to reporters ahead of his side’s clash against Hull City this week, with his comments posted on Spurs’ official Twitter account.

Among the things up for discussion was the players he would be unable to call on for the match, with Vincent Janssen and Mousa Dembele unavailable and Erik Lamela working to get back to full match fitness.

The Argentine winger had returned to his homeland due to a family issue but he returned to White Hart Lane on Monday.

“Vincent Janssen is still out and Mousa Dembele will miss the game a foot injury,” Pochettino said.

“Erik Lamela came back from Argentina on Monday and is working to be available as soon as possible.”

While the wide man is not every Tottenham fan’s cup of tea, he is key to Pochettino’s pressing style and his additional flare and creativity will be welcome with Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli struggling to create sufficient chances for Harry Kane.

Dembele is a big miss, with the Belgian vital to so much of Tottenham’s best work, but they have the players to put the disappointment of their loss to Manchester United behind them and earn a much needed three points.
