Josh Onomah joined Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

Onomah joined Wednesday in the Championship on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old midfielder has made eight starts and three substitute appearances in the Championship for the Owls so far this season, providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
The England Under-21 international is back at Tottenham due to an injury, and Spurs manager Pochettino has suggested that he could decide to keep the youngster in his first team for the rest of the season.

Pochettino told Football.London about Onomah: “Yes he is back here. I think it is going to be difficult but we will see in the next few weeks. We still have 13 days to decide, but he is injured.”
When asked if he has considered recalling Onomah: “Yes. Considering.”
Staying at Tottenham Hotspur
Onomah’s performances at Wednesday so far have been mixed, and while the youngster could get regular playing time at the Owls during the second half of the season under new manager Steve Bruce, from Tottenham’s perspective, they could do with the 21-year-old in the team following the departure of star midfielder Mousa Dembele in the January transfer window.
