Tottenham Hotspur have fallen away in the race for the Premier League title.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters yesterday, and shared what he would request from Daniel Levy, if the Spurs Chairman demanded success in either the Premier League or the Champions League next season, as quoted by Sky Sports.

The north London outfit are currently sitting in third spot in the Premier League table, nine points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, but just last week they had the chance to close the gap to only two points, should they have beaten Burnley at Turf Moor.

Tottenham then lost to the Clarets before suffering defeat away at Chelsea on Wednesday night, and winning the league this season now seems like nothing more than a distant dream.

Pochettino addressed the media yesterday, and responded when asked whether he would change his approach if Daniel Levy demanded a major trophy next season, as quoted by Sky Sports:

“Maybe, if Daniel Levy said to me next season ‘We need to win a title, we need to win the Champions League or Premier League’ maybe I say to Daniel you need to find another magic guy that can do this because we are not going to change how we operate.”

Tottenham play host to Arsenal today in the Premier League, and nothing less than a win will do, with Unai Emery’s side breathing down their neck in the race for third place.
