The Tottenham Hotspur manager has worked wonders during his time in charge of the club.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino suggested how this season must still be considered as a success, when speaking to reporters, by highlighting what was said during his first ever meeting with the club’s owner and chairman Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy, as quoted by Football London.
Spurs have received criticism from some sections of the media this season for their failure to win a trophy once again, but they remain on course to finish inside the top four for the third consecutive season.

The Lilywhites players would have considered themselves unfortunate to be knocked out of the Champions League by Juventus in March, and it must be remembered that this team is still in the very early stages of their development.
Pochettino highlighted that fact, when speaking to reporters, and opened up on the remit that he was given during his first ever meeting with the club’s chairman and owner, as quoted by Football.London:

“I remind you that in my first meeting with Daniel and Joe Lewis, the target was to arrive in the new stadium in four years and to create a team to have the possibility to fight for the top four and then the second year [in the new stadium] to play Champions League. We are victims of our success.”
Pochettino seems to be on the cusp of achieving something very special at Spurs, and even the most critical of Tottenham fans would surely have to admit that the job he has done during his time in charge of the club has been nothing short of first class.
