Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters today about his relationship with Daniel Levy, and admitted that he and his chairman do not necessarily have the same thinking regarding potentially leaving a legacy at the club, as quoted by Football.London.
The Argentine has worked wonders since taking over as Spurs boss in the summer of 2014, and his side are now considered to be genuine challengers for major honours both domestically and on the continent.
Pochettino hasn’t always been backed in the transfer market sufficiently by Levy, but the Tottenham duo seem to have an excellent working relationship.
The Argentine spoke to reporters today, and responded when asked whether he sees his long-term future lying at Tottenham, as quoted by Football.London:

“He is working so hard, too hard, to leave a legacy forever and I think that’s fantastic. For me it is about my possibility to work and provide the club what they expect from you. I have a clear idea of what the club expects from us and I try to do my job in the best condition. I am not a person who thinks I want to be here 10 years to build something. I know very well in football you need to take a decision, the best decision for the club, you need to work with the club and the club expects from you that you deliver some work and at the end I know very well that every game is a test for me.”
Spurs currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, just six points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, and they are safely through to the knock-out stages of the Champions League.
Tottenham fans must be delighted with the job being done by Poch, and they will be hoping that there was no hidden meaning in his comments today.
