Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters regarding his recent trip to Barcelona, where he took in a Barcelona B game, and shared the real reason behind his trip to Catalonia, as quoted by Sky Sports.

The Argentine has worked wonders at Spurs, since taking over as manager in the summer of 2014, and the north London outfit are now considered to be genuine challengers for major honours on all fronts.

The problem for Tottenham is that Pochettino has done such a fine job that some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester United, are keen to prise him away from north London.

When Poch was spotted watching a Barcelona B game this week, tongues were sent wagging asking why he was in attendance.

The Tottenham manager cleared things up, however, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports:

“We are going to talk about football. The Catalan Federation asked us to go there and talk with the Catalan coaches, and I think it is a great opportunity to share, and explain how the Premier League is and Tottenham.”

Daniel Levy has been fairly open and upfront about his determination to keep Poch at Spurs, and considering the fact that the Argentine signed a new five-year deal in the summer, it seems as though he will not be leaving north London anytime soon.
