Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters after his side’s hard-fought 1-0 win away at Borussia Dortmund last night, and shared the one-word text message sent to him by club chairman Daniel Levy, as quoted by Football.London.

Spurs progressed through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after their 4-0 aggregate win over the Bundesliga leaders, and the north London outfit will now believe that anything is possible in Europe this season.

Tottenham are seemingly out of the race for the Premier League title, but on their day, they have proven that they can match any side in Europe.

Pochettino was delighted with his side’s performance against the German outfit last night, and responded to reporters when asked whether Daniel Levy had already congratulated him and his players, as quoted by Football.London:

“Yes, I think you were talking with Daniel because he sent me ‘congratulations’.”

Tottenham will now have to turn their attention back to domestic football, with a trip to Southampton on Saturday next up on their agenda, and after their exertions in Germany, three points at St Mary’s is far from guaranteed.

The Spurs players should enjoy the moment, however, after reaching their first Champions League quarter-final since 2011.
