Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, and shared how he received a warning from his wife in relation to his touchline behaviour, after his over-exuberant celebrations when Dele Alli scored against Everton last weekend, as quoted by the Daily Star.
The Argentine has impressed in the manner that he has got his Tottenham side playing this season, and they currently sit in second position in the Premier League table, albeit a distant 10 points adrift of Antonio Conte’s well-drilled Chelsea side.
His impassioned persona has undoubtedly been transmitted to his players, with the Spurs’ squad arguably the most tightly-knit group in the Premier League.
But Pochettino told the media how he received some advice from his wife, following his lively reaction to Dele Alli’s goal last weekend, as quoted by the Daily Star:

“I thought the game was over when Dele scored. In football always it’s important to be focused. When we finished the game I saw my phone and my wife had said, ‘What did you do? You lost your head when Dele scored – never again!’. Always when I arrive home she has been watching on TV and she says, ‘Why this?’ or ‘Why that?’.”
Next up for Tottenham is their crucial quarter final FA Cup clash with London rivals Millwall on Sunday afternoon, in what will likely be another lively encounter.
And Pochettino will surely be forgiven for getting over excited if his side progress through to the semi finals, and a day out at their soon-to-be temporary home Wembley.
