Tottenham Hotspur have been tracking the Aston Villa star all summer.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with Newcastle United on Saturday, and remained tight-lipped when asked about Aston Villa star Jack Grealish, as quoted by Sky Sports.
Spurs have been monitoring Grealish, 22, all summer long, and had a £25 million bid for his services rejected yesterday, according to Sky Sports News.
Tottenham fans are growing increasingly more frustrated with their side’s lack of transfer activity this summer, especially considering the fact that most of their rivals have spent lavishly.
The north London outfit are in serious danger of treading water by not signing anyone this summer, and with a matter of hours remaining until the window slams shut, things are looking bleak for Spurs.
Pochettino addressed the media today, and refused to be drawn on whether he believes Tottenham will sign Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish by 5pm this evening, as quoted by Sky Sports:

“I don’t like to talk about the players who are with other teams. There are many rumours during the transfer window. There is no point talking about players at another club. I am happy with the squad, happy with the players. We work to improve the squad, but when it is not possible, it is not possible and we move on. I believe in the way that we work and I have no doubt we will be competitive, with or without signings.”
If Spurs are to have any chance whatsoever of signing Grealish, they will need to come up with a substantial increase on the £25 million that they reportedly offered for the 22-year-old yesterday, but even then, Villa might just dig their heals in and keep hold of the talented midfielder.
