The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has established himself as one of Pochettino’s most important players.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters after his side’s impressive 1-0 win at Crystal Palace yesterday, and provided an update on the fitness of key man Mousa Dembele, after the Belgian was substituted at half-time, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
Moussa Sissoko replaced the 29-year-old during the half-time interval at Selhurst Park, and with the North London Derby on the horizon, Tottenham fans will be sweating on the fitness of the former Fulham man.
Pochettino though, explained how he doesn’t believe Dembele’s injury is too serious, when speaking to reporters, as quoted by Football.London:
“Mousa felt his ankle at half-time. I don’t believe that is a big thing and we need to assess him.”

The 67-capped Belgium international moved to White Hart Lane from Fulham in 2012, for a fee believed to be in the region of £15 million, and he has proven to be an absolute snip at that price.
With the perfect combination of power and guile, Dembele has established himself as one of the Premier League’s finest midfield players, and Spurs will certainly miss him if he is ruled out for a prolonged period.
Pochettino will be hoping that he has the Belgian available for Sunday’s game at home to Arsenal, where his side will be looking for three points that will keep the pressure up on Chelsea above them in the table.
