The Tottenham Hotspur boss refused to be drawn on questions regarding the striker.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side were quite simply brilliant against Ajax last night.
A 3-2 win in the Amsterdam Arena was enough to see Spurs reach their first ever Champions League final, and the fact that they have done it without Harry Kane over the last there games in the competition makes it all the more impressive.
The Tottenham striker has been out injured for a month now, but many are predicting that he will make his return for the final against Liverpool on June 1st.
And reporters asked Pochettino last night whether the 25-year-old will be fit in time for the final.
The Argentine responded in blunt fashion, before storming out of the press conference, as quoted by Football.London:
“Ciao. [Poch gets up and leaves]. Today you are going to ask about Harry Kane? Come on!”
If Kane does return for Tottenham’s clash with Liverpool, Pochettino will of course have to drop one of either Heung-Min Son or Lucas Moura, unless he changes his system to accommodate all three.
Spurs struggled earlier this season when bringing Kane back from injury, disrupting the rhythm that had been garnered amongst the rest of the squad.
He is still undoubtedly one of the world’s best strikers, however, and if he is 100 per cent fit, he will surely start the game for Tottenham against Liverpool on June 1st.
