The Tottenham Hotspur winger is currently out with a hip injury.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to reporters ahead of his side’s clash with West Bromwich Albion this weekend, with his comments published on Spurs’ official Twitter account.
In terms of player availability, Pochettino explained that only Argentine winger Erik Lamela remained on the side lines, but that it would not be long before he too returned to the first-team fold.
“Everyone else apart from Lamela is fit and we’ll arrive on Saturday in good condition,” the Spurs boss said.
“Lamela is doing well but (is) still away for another week to finish his recovery. It’s important he feels well and recovers.”

While Tottenham have done well in Lamela’s absence there is no doubt he fits perfectly into Pochettino’s style of play, regardless of what his critics say.
When the 24-year-old plays, Tottenham’s pressing style is often more effective and his return will be a timely boost for a side with plenty to play for between now and May.

That is why Pochettino will not rush him back, ensuring one of his key players is fully over his injury problems and available for the final vital months of the campaign.
That said, Tottenham are learning to live without Lamela, as their impressive victory against league leaders Chelsea proved, and it will be interesting to see if they can maintain their fine form in the weeks ahead.
