Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told The Telegraph he ‘does not care’ where Arsenal are in the Premier League table.

Spurs are currently above their North London rivals and extended the gap to seven points with a 1-0 victory at Wembley.

Pochettino said he was not concerned by this, as he feels Tottenham have more important targets to focus on.

He said: “We don’t care if Arsenal are behind us – we are winning because we are building something special.”

Tottenham have too much to do to get back into the title race – Manchester City are 20 points ahead – but second place is achievable.

Spurs also have an opportunity to win two trophies, the FA Cup and the Champions League.

Pochettino’s side take on Juventus in the Champions League this week in the last 16 first leg, while Arsenal are in Europa League competition.

The comments from the Tottenham boss may not surprise fans of the club but they should alarm Arsenal supporters, who once cherished total dominance over the Lilywhites.
