Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino lamented his side’s impotence in the final third following their 0-0 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday, as quoted by the Independent.
The North London outfit have scored just six goals in six Premier League and Champions League outings following the injury sustained by Harry Kane which has kept him out of the side since September.
Vincent Janssen has failed to make the impact that was expected of him following his £17 million move from AZ Alkmaar in the summer, and Spurs have been overly reliant on Son Heung-min’s fine run of form.

Pochettino spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s disappointing result at the weekend, and highlighted how his team need to become more clinical as a whole, without placing the blame purely on Kane’s absence, as quoted by the Independent:
“Yes, not only Harry, the pressure to score is for the whole team. It’s true that we show a lot of positive things but the area we need to improve is to be more clinical and try to score more.”

Spurs fans will be hoping that Kane returns sooner rather than later, with their side about to embark on a crucial period in their season.
A trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night is followed by a home game against Leicester City in the Premier League, before they host Bayer Leverkusen in their vitally important Champions League group stage game.
Then it is the big one – Arsenal away.
If Pochettino’s men can come through this spell unscathed, further credence will be added to the notion that they are a team to be taken seriously the season.
