Tottenham Hotspur take on Liverpool tomorrow night in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino highlighted two major factors which will make tomorrow night’s EFL Cup tie against Liverpool so tough, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Tottenham have impressed so far this season, going unbeaten in the league, and bouncing back well from a disappointing start to their Champions League campaign.
Pochettino told reporters how his side’s trip to Anfield will not be easy, and that Liverpool hold a key advantage heading into the match, as quoted by tottenhamhotspur.com:
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
“We’re involved in the Champions League and that demands a lot of energy. They are in a very good moment, they have one of the best squads in the league. We know that Liverpool are more fresh because they are not involved in European competition.”
It will certainly be an entertaining encounter at Anfield, with two of the brightest young managers in the game – who share the same philosophies and beliefs, leading out their teams.

Whilst both clubs will inevitably play weakened sides, tomorrow’s game will represent a fantastic opportunity to see where both sides are at in relation to their hopes of success this season.
It will also be the perfect opportunity for fringe players from both teams to prove themselves to be worthy of selection to their respective managers as they approach what is one of the busiest periods of the season.
