Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino explained how he believed his Spurs side would go on to win the league after last term’s 4-0 win over Stoke City, reported by ESPN.
Tottenham were Leicester City’s closest challengers for the Premier League title for the majority last season, until a final four game collapse culminated in their third place finish.

It must have been a strange sensation for Spurs fans by the time the season had finished. Their team achieved their highest ever finish in the Premier League, yet there was an air of disappointment emanating from White Hart Lane.
Many Fans of the North Londoners genuinely felt that last season was there chance to win the league, and it seems as though they were not the only ones.
Pochettino outlined how he and his players thought they would go in to win the league with just four games remaining, and a five point deficit still to make up on Leicester, reported by ESPN.

“Yes. After our performance and our victory, it was a fantastic 4-0, we all believed it would be possible to win the league, yes. It is true that after Stoke we felt it was possible, difficult but possible. The confidence and the belief is important for the team and the players but then you need to deliver.”
Tottenham are back at the Britannia Stadium tomorrow to take on Stoke in one of six Premier League games to kick-off at 3pm.
