Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to challenge Arsenal for the Ajax ace.

According to the Sun (25 March, page 51), Tottenham are set to challenge Arsenal in the race to sign Ajax’s £15m-rated left-back Nicolas Tagliafico, and should they beat their bitter rivals to the Argentine’s signature, it would be a real coup for them.
The 26-year-old has been in excellent form for the Eredivisie side this season, racking up five goals and five assists in 34 appearances in all competitions thus far.
He is a wonderfully exciting, attacking full-back, and he seems to possess all of the attributes required to be a success in the Premier League.
Tottenham currently have Ben Davis and Danny Rose in the left-back department, but with the former being linked with an exit, and questions being asked regarding the latter’s quality at the highest level, the signing of Tagliafico really would be excellent business for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, especially if they can beat the Gunners to his signature in the process.
Spurs have finished above Arsenal in the last two seasons, and are on course to make it three in a row.

Signing Tagliafico for the reported fee of just £15 million would help further cement Tottenham’s recent dominance over Arsenal.
Spurs really do seem to be on the cusp of achieving something very special, and having the Argentina international at the new White Hart Lane next season really would be a massive coup for the north London outfit.
