Feyenoord wanted Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen.

Janssen clung on at Spurs as long as he could after a disappointing debut season, and only got the hint after the English and Dutch transfer windows closed, moving to Turkish side Fenerbahce instead after his side bought Fernando Llorente.
The prospect of moving to Feyenoord would have been a tough one for Janssen, who spent time in the club’s academy as a teenager.
Janssen was released by the club in 2013, a decision he took hard.

Janssen gave it a shot though, starring for Almere City, earning a move to AZ Alkmaar, before being called into the Netherlands international squad.
His move to Tottenham did not work out, but if he does not want a long term stay in Turkey, a return to former club Feyenoord could be an option for him to take his career full circle.
