A Tottenham Hotspur-linked midfielder follows the club and one of their players on Twitter.

According to Colombian outlet Antena 2, Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal with Boca Juniors to sign Wilmar Barrios this summer.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been linked to Tottenham for much of the summer so far, with The Sun previously reporting that Mauricio Pochettino would be personally scouting the Colombia international during the World Cup in Russia.
And the prospect of him ending up in North London seems a little more likely, based on his Twitter activity.
Barrios follows Davinson Sanchez on Twitter which, given the fact that they’re international team-mates, isn’t all that interesting, but he also follows Tottenham’s official account on the social media platform.

That in itself is hardly solid evidence that he is Spurs-bound, considering he also follows Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich for instance.
But examining a player’s social media activity can often offer clues as to where their future lies and the fact that he follows the Lilywhites, coupled with reports in South America claiming that a deal has been agreed, could be significant.
It remains to be seen whether he started following Spurs before or after the speculation about him joining arose, though he has only followed 13 accounts since subscribing to Tottenham’s feed.
The Sun have previously reported in May that Pochettino could have to pay around £25 million for him, though Argentinian sports newspaper Ole reckons that he has a £12 million release clause which Boca are worried will be triggered.
Barrios, who has 10 caps for his country, could face Japan in Colombia’s World Cup opener on Tuesday.
